In 1941, a group of Delaware County locals formed what is now known as the Monroe Township Conservation Club. The group was formed in order to not only enjoy, but also honor the art of shooting sports. In 1950, the group became officially incorporated. As the years went by, more members began joining. Twelve years later, in 1962, MTCC bought the land where the club resides today. Many people have come and gone in the 69 years that MTCC has been around, but one thing remains the same...the love of the range. Not only can members partake in the bi-weekly trap shoots during the fall and winter months, but now the art of shooting can be passed down through the generations. The Monroe Township Conservation Club offers Hunter Safety classes for the young sportsmen, as well as helping out with the local 4-H Club with the Shooting Sports category for the fair. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the executives, members, and supporters, the Monroe Township Conservation Club will continue to expand and grow for many years to come.
Terry Evans, President Steve Ruster, Secretary/Treasurer
